“Last night at the Ranch, Jack, Emily and Al Cantrell, Roy Book Binder and I played
an informal show. Jack and I did a couple of numbers together... the Cantrells did
their beautiful thing and Roy, of course, held forth as only Roy can. The Cantrells
came back for a couple of songs, and I got to sit in on a bluegrass number and
do some rare public flat-picking.”
